The zine is in basic html and is ad free. Most email programs can view HTML email (Outlook, Outlook Express, and even Hotmail) AOL users may have some issues. If you have viewing problems you can view this online as well. Well, enough said. on with the fun!

Tales from the TalkBooks

These are choice snippets of October's TalkBooks melded into a few paragraphs. Its more like an experiment. Actual TalkBook snippets are in this font. User names have been excluded to protect the guilty ;-).

For those who don't know, TalkBooks are our version of a forum.

Dear Mr. President, The QuickNetPeople have a request to rid the world of the following: "The alarm in the midst of of pleasant dream" "people who are so uptight you couldn't drive a nail up their butt with a hammer" "pee on toilet seats," "taking pictures with Santa or the Easter Bunny" "Cops that stare at you" " the word 'Kudos', telemarketers" "people who listen to music with the bass all the way up" "So does it sound like I'm whining? I don't have these things on my mind all the time. Besides, you asked for it." Sure, me either. The people have spoken.

"One skin is better than no skin!" (That's what I always say) "Anyone think they're gonna catch this lunatic?" "Looks like they might have got them." "I hope so." ... (Yep, they caught the idiots sleeping in their car.)...And now for the weather: "....Damn, it turned frigid overnight." " Anything to fight off the feeling that I need to be hibernating."  "snow days...sledding...building snowmen...hot cocoa...huge snow banks...snowball fights". Those were the days. (Election 2002) "its scary enough with one cowboy running the show." "Could the independents be there as a ploy by the republicans?? Do I smell a conspiracy???" "I definitely smell something." (You should watch where you are walking these days, never know what your going to step in.)

"How about a moment of silence for a musical pioneer and a positive influence on the lives of millions" Jam Master Jay, a founding member of the pioneering rap trio Run DMC, was shot and killed at his recording studio near the New York neighborhood where he grew up.
Jam Master Jay...Jason Mizell (1965-2002)

QuickNetByte

This being the first issue, I thought spam would be a good topic. You are receiving this issue because you signed up for it. I will never use your email for any other reason other than to send you this fine publication;-) once a month! But that cannot be said for 95% of other websites on the internet. (Especially the larger ones). You need to be very careful who you give your email to. Be sure to review a sites privacy policy before giving them any information. Usually the longer the privacy policy, the more likely your email address will be sold. They don't think you will read the whole thing, or hire a lawyer to explain it to you!. Always make sure that you do not check "Share my information with our partners to receive special promotions" This is inbox suicide. They will sell your email address to more spammers than you can shake a mouse at. You will never have control of your inbox again! Even unsubscribing may have an adverse effect on the amount of spam you receive (They know they have a live one). So be careful, and for Pete's sake get a hotmail account to use for anything you sign up for. (Anyone know who Pete is?, let me know!). And when you sign up look out for those dangerous little opt in check boxes!) That will keep your main inbox free from invasion. Here are a few more tips:
